Season 1, Episode 5- Home Town Mothers
At The Heirloom, we know that behind every legacy, there is a mother.

From fixing PB&Js to giving guidance in major life decisions to cheerleading “podcast practice,” is there really anyone who encourages like a mom?
This Mother’s Day, we invited our business partners and mothers extraordinaire to join us on The Heirloom Podcast.
Erin Napier, Mallorie Rasberry, and Emily Nowell are much more than revitalizers, designers, and business leaders. They are the builders of families, the makers of homes—the sunshine that grows the next generation.
In this episode, we talk about motherhood, memory, and the kind of people we hope our children become—not because we told them to, but because they watched us try to live it out.
It’s good to be reminded that the most important legacy work doesn’t happen in the office or on camera—it happens in kitchens, in car lines, in late-night group texts between moms just trying to figure it out.
You’ll hear:
Why our daughters don’t care about being on a TV show (and why we love that)
How the group chat called “Telehealth” became a lifeline
What “Red Bucket” means—and why it’s a symbol of overcoming adversity for the Napiers
Why parenting often feels like saying goodbye to a different child each night
And how the most unforgettable memories are often found in the most ordinary moments
For me, Jim, and Ben—we had no clue how full our lives could be until we were introduced to six little girls and two little boys.

A hundred years from now, I doubt if any of the businesses we built or the buildings we restored here in Laurel will still be standing. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have a share in the future.
By God’s grace, these eight children from our wives will become far greater than any business or building ever could. As men, it’s good to be connected to the future, and I can’t think of a better heirloom than the one these mothers have given us.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you Home Town Mothers!
